My name is Meghan Kowalski and I'm an outreach librarian working in Washington, DC. Some days I struggle with making content because my brain is tired. I share noteworthy items and idea prompts to, hopefully, help *spark* an idea for your content.

In this special subscriber issue, we’re exploring how you can use back to school in your content. We’re covering:

  • An overview of back to school season

  • Some ideas to try

  • Recommend links and reading to explore

Love it or hate it, back to school season is a huge part of the year. It’s a time for new beginnings and the chance to grow and learn. Whether your followers are students, parents, or teachers, there’s a whole world of inspiration waiting to strike when the bell rings. Back to school season is full of energy and the smell of freshly sharpened pencils.

If your school years are behind you, this season could bring fond moments of nostalgia. Students can be eager to see their friends or start a new class. From kindergarten to college, there are so many ways you can connect with this time of the year.

Also, every back to school season, I am reminded of that fantastic Staples commercial. Always worth a rewatch.

Here are some ways you can try using back to school in your content:

  • Record a video packing a backpack with new school supplies

  • Do a fit check for your first day of school outfit

  • Share your school day morning routine
